STORM – new product packaging design

Design system, packaging design

Our goal was to design packaging for canned fish, caught and produced in Iceland—a country that embodies purity, sustainability, and natural perfection.

We aimed to reflect the pristine nature of Iceland and its crystal-clear waters. This vision came to life through the use of gradients that mimic the soft transitions of northern skies and the transparency of ocean waves. This approach not only highlights the product’s origin but also creates a sense of freshness and purity even before the packaging is opened.

The producers moved away from the traditional tin can format and opted for a modern solution—doypacks. This innovative packaging is not only a fresh take for the market but also a more convenient and user-friendly format.

The product line features a wide variety of SKUs, differing in both types of fish and preparation methods, including fish in tomato sauce, in oil, and in its own juice. To ensure clear differentiation between these varieties, we developed a visual system that allows consumers to easily navigate through flavors.

The logo plays a crucial role in the design—it is bold, strong, and highly visible, reinforcing brand trust and stability. Strategically positioned on the packaging, it guarantees instant recognition and a strong presence on store shelves.

The result is a minimalistic, clean, and functional design that captures the spirit of Iceland and its uncompromising quality.
